Who gets to read to every elementary student in

 

Elmwood Park?  ME! My name is Shelia Kane and I’m

 

the new Library Media Specialist for the district.  When I

 

see my students, I see boundless energy.  When I hear their

 

voices, I hear the voices of diversity: a real window to the

 

world.  One way to open that window is to open a book.  I

 

will be sending the children home with books.  I encourage

 

parents/guardians to read to and with their children.  Keep

 

that window open, not closed .
