Title One Program

Fall 2008

The ultimate objective of the program is to strengthen reading comprehension, language arts, and mathematic skills of students in grades one - five.  Students entering this program have small group instruction along with the flexibility of entering and exiting with the classroom teacher’s recommendation.  Students’ needs are monitored and assessed with their classroom teacher on an on-going basis throughout the school year for success in all academic areas.  Success is met through activities that entail silent and oral reading, question response, writing, mathematic computation, and word problem solving tasks.  Manipulatives and paper/pencil tasks are utilized.  Students are also highly motivated via computer use which strengthens their technology skills as well.  The Title One Program is a very effective program in helping students succeed in the classroom.

Students are working very hard to reinforce their skills in language arts, writing, and mathematics for the upcoming NJ ASK.
